The experimental method in Public Administration: lessons from replication in Psychology

Abstract In recent years, an increasing number of studies adopting the experimental method have appeared in Public Administration journals. It has been argued that advantage experiments behavioral sciences is researchers can control contextual factors while investigating effect manipulations on a variable interest. Another point be replicated and, thus, increase confidence research results. However, replications are rarely undertaken, especially sciences. This article examines results “Open Science Reproducibility Project: Psychology,” which 100 previously published leading Psychology Based findings this project, we present seven recommendations to scholars improve quality their experiments.
